Liukeng Culture
Liukeng covers an area of 3.61 square kilometers, surrounded by green mountains and surrounded by rivers on three sides. There are more than 260 ancient buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties in the village, including 19 buildings in Ming Dynasty and 59 pavilions and pavilions. The origin of "China's first village"
On May 25, 1997, Director Zhang Wenbin of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage visited Liukeng Village, Niutian Town, Le'an County, Jiangxi Province, accompanied by the leaders of the three-level governments of Jiangxi Province, Fuzhou Special Region and Le'an County. The five characters of "China's First Village" comprehensively summarize the cultural taste, social value, historical value and cultural relic value of Liukeng Village. The reason why Liukeng Village has attracted the attention of the director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage is inseparable from the unexpected discovery of Liukeng Ancient Village, the concern of government leaders at all levels and the research of cultural relic experts.
